Charities, Custom Orders and Craft Fairs

Hello again! Hola, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Sveiki and Zdravstvuj to my random international readers. Just a little update to let y'all know what's going on in the SobeSata Co world... Earlier this year, two SobeSata Co bags were proudly selected to raise money at different silent auctions for charity.

The first auction was in late March, and it was to raise money for Brockman Elementary, a Montessori school in Columbia, SC. Claire, the canvas dove bag, was selected for this one and it helped to raise $45! My spy in Columbia has since sent me photos of Claire attending PTA meetings, so I'm glad she's continuing to take part in school activities. I also got a nifty mug out of it:

Not really, I just "borrowed" this from my sister last time

I visited, but it's mine now (mwah-haha!).

April, the tweed clutch with a flower brooch, went to the second auction. This auction was to raise money for Edventure, a children's museum also in Columbia. This occurred a few weeks ago, and I have yet to find out if and how much money it raised - I'll update this once I find out.

Custom orders are still on the rise! The most popular requests are for over-the-shoulder mail bags like Leila (https://www.etsy.com/listing/91332957/leila-large-100-cotton-hobo-bag) or Hootie Hoo (https://www.etsy.com/listing/92545464/hootie-hoo-100-cotton-hobo-bag). With additional pockets it makes a great diaper bag. I just finished one a few days ago that will be making it's way to Alaska! The most rewarding part of SobeSata Co for me is seeing my creativity travel the globe : )

There is one giant, looming challenge ahead for me. This fall (if not sooner) I want to be able to participate as a seller in craft fair markets. In order to that however, I will need to increase my inventory - by A LOT. These past few days have been spent trying to form assembly lines of production so that I can make certain items faster.

While this works well with tote bags or grocery bag dispensers, I can't do this for the unique handbags and such, otherwise they'd lose their personality.

Until next time! Hasta que nos encontramos otra vez, bis dann, a la prochaine, uz driz redzesanos, & do svidanyia!
